The class of 2020 will go down in history as the class that battled through to the finish line. After an abrupt end to in-school classes on March 13th due to the COVID-19 lockdown, students joined their classmates on-line on March 18th to carry on with their curriculum. Our grads have completed the assessments for all their curriculum and are ready to enter the next steps of their journey with confidence in the academic rigour they achieved over the last thirteen weeks of their school year.

Congratulations to our 2020 Salutatorian, Bronwyn Cruickshank (average 98.16%) and our Valedictorian, Madison Worth (average 98.65%). Both ladies gave wonderful addresses to their classmates Friday evening. Bronwyn told classmates, “You guys are not just my friends you are my family...this whole school is my family.” Madison summed up her speech encouraging fellow graduates to develop a rule of life and to live by it. “As disciples our rule of life is to follow Jesus. In Christ, the best is yet to come.”

Dr. Stephen Lennox, Kingswood University President, did an outstanding job addressing our graduates Friday evening. Speaking from Proverbs 25:2 he encouraged the graduates to live out their days as explorers. As Christians he said, “Our goal is to explore for His glory.” He also said that God has hidden things for us to find and He delights for us to go after His hidden treasure. In conclusion, he exhorted them to approach their life mission with curiosity, courage, perseverance, and humility. "God is on the throne," he said, “we can live these days with confidence.”

In addition to many school awards, (see awards list) SCS grads were also offered more than $165,000 in scholarships and bursaries (see scholarship list). We congratulate them on their accomplishments.
